WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI – Closures have begun rolling in for Ann Arbor-area and Washtenaw County schools on Thursday, Feb. 13, due to inclement weather.
A winter advisory from the National Weather Service remained in effect until 7 a.m. Thursday with three to five inches of snow and ice accumulations expected and the highest precipitation set for 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. You can read more about Michigan weather here.
The following schools were currently listed closed for Thursday. Some also already have long weekends for a mid-winter break later this week.

Ann Arbor Academy
Ann Arbor Public Schools – after-school activities canceled, all school buildings will be closed
Central Academy of Ann Arbor
Chelsea School District – a decision about after-school activities will be made around noon Thursday
Dexter Community Schools – staff not to arrive until after 11 a.m., after-school activities after 3 p.m. to continue as planned at Dexter High School
Eastern Michigan University
Father Gabriel Richard High School – a decision about after-school activities will be made by noon
Fortis Academy – after-school activities also canceled
Foundations Preschool
Global Tech Academy
Honey Creek Community School – classes resume Wednesday, Feb. 19, after mid-winter break and Presidents Day
Lincoln Consolidated Schools – classes will resume on Wednesday, Feb. 19, after prescheduled day off Friday through Presidents Day
Livingston Classical Academy
Manchester Community Schools – middle and high school coaches will provide updates on team events and practices, early release scheduled for Friday, Feb. 14, with no school Monday, Feb. 17
Milan Area Schools – after-school activities to be held at the discretion of athletic director, building administrators, coaches and club coordinators
Multicultural Academy
Pittsfield Acres Academy
Rudolph Steiner School of Ann Arbor
Saline Area Schools – elementary and middle school after-school activities canceled, other decisions about extracurriculars to be made by midday Thursday
South Arbor Charter Academy
St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Elementary School – after-school activities canceled, school buildings closed
St. Paul School of Ann Arbor – all sites closed
Washtenaw Intermediate School District – administrative offices at the Teaching and Learning Center will open at 10 a.m., closure affects High Point High School, Progress Park, Red Oak, Young Adult Programs and Services, Court Involved Youth, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and Local-Based classrooms
Washtenaw International High School and Middle Academy – all after-school activities also canceled
Whitmore Lake Public Schools – a separate communication about building activities will be sent at a later time, EduCare will be open at the Main Street campus
Ypsilanti Community Schools – professional development day canceled
