Warriors Make Major Brandin Podziemski Announcement Ahead of Bucks Game

The Golden State Warriors are at home on Tuesday night as they welcome the Milwaukee Bucks to the Chase Center for an interconference showdown.

This marks the second night of a back-to-back for the Warriors after they lost to the Denver Nuggets on Monday despite Denver being without their star duo of Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray.

Golden State will now have another tough matchup as they face off against a Bucks team that has won six of their last 10 games.

To make matters worse for Golden State, they will also face off against Milwaukee without their star point guard Stephen Curry who has been ruled out due to rest and a back injury.

While Curry will not suit up for Tuesday’s home game, the Warriors did receive some positive news ahead of the contest regarding the health of Brandin Podziemski.

Podziemski will make his return to the Warriors’ starting lineup on Tuesday after being sidelined since March 6 due to a strained back.

Ahead of Tuesday’s game, head coach Steve Kerr announced that Podziemski will start against the Bucks but he will also be limited to around 25 minutes in the contest.

Despite his minutes restriction, this is massive for the Warriors, especially with Curry sidelined for Tuesday’s game.

Before his back injury, Podziemski was having a solid sophomore season as he is averaging 10.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 42.7% from the field and 31.9% from three-point range.

The 22-year-old guard will give the Warriors another reliable scorer and defender next to Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green in the starting lineup on Tuesday against the Bucks and it is likely that he will continue to start alongside Curry in the backcourt once Curry returns later this week.

Fans can catch Tuesday’s matchup between the Bucks and Warriors at 10:00 p.m. EST on NBA TV.
