Just like every other aspect of coaching the team — from offense and defense to special teams — Mike Tomlin has the final say in how he exits the Pittsburgh Steelers organization.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter revealed on ESPN this morning that Tomlin has a no-trade clause in his contract.
Anything that would happen in Pittsburgh involving Mike Tomlin would come with his consent and his consent only… this has been the most patient franchise not just in football, but maybe sports.
With two years still remaining on his contract, the Steelers inked Tomlin to a three-year extension over the summer — one year more than the typical extension Tomlin had signed since coming to Pittsburgh. He’s under contract through the 2027 season.
There is zero indication that team president and owner Art Rooney II intends to move on from Tomlin.
