LeBron James has spent his career rewriting the record books, and tonight, he’s poised to add another chapter.

Entering Tuesday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans (10:30 p.m. ET, League Pass), James has 49,999 points. With 41,837 regular-season points (1st all-time) and 8,162 Playoff points (1st all-time), he is set to become the first and only member of the 50,000 total point club.

  • No other player is within 5,000 points of this mark
  • Kevin Durant is the only active player within 15,000 points of 50K

Consistency has been the key to LeBron’s rise up the all-time scoring leaderboard. Night in and night out, LeBron puts up his numbers.

  • 10+ Point Games: 1,824 (1st) – LeBron has more 10+ point games than any player has total games played in NBA history.
  • 20+ Point Games: 1,534 (1st) – Only 17 players have even played 1,500+ career games.
  • 30+ Point Games: 690 (1st) – More than Michael Jordan (671) and Kobe Bryant (519).
  • 40+ Point Games: 108 (5th) – Behind only Wilt Chamberlain, Jordan, Kobe, and James Harden.
  • 50+ Point Games: 15 (T-7th) – Among an elite group of all-time scorers.

Even more remarkable? In 1,834 career games, LeBron has scored:

  • Less than 10 points just 10 times (0.005%)
  • Less than 20 points only 300 times (16.4%)

James’ latest milestone comes at a time when both he and the Lakers are hitting their stride. Riding a six-game win streak, the Los Angeles has surged to second place in the West heading into tonight’s game.

  • Since Feb. 1, James is averaging 28.3 PPG on 54% shooting, including 42.4% from 3-point range, with 10 RPG and 7.1 APG.
  • Since Jan. 15, the Lakers own the NBA’s best record (18-4) and top Defensive Rating (107.5).
  • Over Luka Dončić’s last five games, he leads the team in scoring (26.4 PPG) and assists (7.6 APG) while ranking second to Jamesin rebounds (9.2 RPG).

If the Lakers win tonight, they’ll extend their streak to seven games and James will tie Tim Duncan for third-most career regular-season wins (1,001), trailing only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (1,074) and Robert Parish (1,014).
