Sonu Sood congratulates two-time Oscar winner Adrien Brody: Many more on your way

Actor Sonu Sood extended congratulations to Hollywood actor Adrien Brody on winning his second Oscar. Brody was recognised for his exceptional performance as a Holocaust survivour in Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist at the 97th Academy Awards. Sonu Sood shared a throwback photo to congratulate Brody and stated that many more Oscars will be coming his way in future. Adrien Brody won his first Oscar for The Pianist at the age of 29.

It looks like Sood and Brody met at an Indian event. Sharing the photo, he wrote, “Congratulations my brother @adrienbrody on your second Oscar. Many more on your way #oscar (sic).”

Here’s the post:

Adrien Brody was emotional as he received his award. During his acceptance speech, he appealed for a more ‘inclusive world’.

“Acting is a fragile profession. It looks very glamorous, and in certain moments it is, but the one thing that I have gained, having the privilege to come back here, is to have some perspective. And… no matter where you are in your career, no matter what you have accomplished, it can all go away. And I think what makes this night most special is the awareness of that and the gratitude I have to still do the work that I love,” he said.

He shared his award with his fellow nominees “who are just wonderful human beings who exude grace, goodness and brilliance.”

As he started to thank his team, The Academy played the music to end his speech. “I’m wrapping up, please turn the music off. I’ve done this before. Thank you. It’s not my first rodeo, but I will be brief,” he politely added.

Thank you Adrien Brody for calling out antisemitism and racism at Oscars.

“I pray for a healthier and happier and more inclusive world. And I believe if the past teaches us anything, it’s a reminder to not let hate go unchecked.” pic.twitter.com/RKgEBEZS3f — Jew in a Canoe âœá️🎗️🇺ðŸ‡æ memoir now available! (@WillieHandler) March 3, 2025

Brody then thanked his parents for instilling a strong foundation of respect, kindness and spirit in him. “I’m here once again to represent the lingering traumas and the repercussions of war and systematic oppression, of antisemitism and racism and of othering. I pray for a healthier and happier and more inclusive world. If the past can teach us anything, it’s to not let hate go unchecked.. I love you, and I appreciate you all. Let’s fight for what’s right. Keep smiling, and keep loving one another. Let’s rebuild together,” he concluded.

Adrien Brody competed with Ralph Fiennes, Timothee Chalamet, Colman Domingo and Sebastian Stan in the Best Actor category at the 97th Academy Awards.
