HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — It takes a lot of firefighters to battle a 1,200 acre wildfire, and Horry County Fire Rescue isn’t doing it alone.
More than a dozen agencies from across the Carolinas are part of the effort, including the South Carolina Forestry Commission.
