More women come forward with sexual assault and abuse allegations against Neil Gaiman

British author and screenplay writer Neil Gaiman has faced fresh allegations of sexual misconduct and assault. The author, known for popular works such as Good Omens, American Gods and The Sandman, had earlier faced similar accusations.

Neil Gaiman accused of sexual assault by two women

Eight women have opened up on abuse and assault they faced from Gaiman in a New York Magazine article. One of the accusers worked as a nanny for Gaiman and his second wife, Amanda Palmer, a musician. She alleged that Gaiman assaulted her in New Zealand in 2022.

According to reports, Gaiman has mostly assaulted women in their 20s. During these alleged incidents, Gaiman was in his 40s. The writer was earlier accused of sexual misconduct by five women in July 2024. The women revealed the details in the podcast Mister, produced by Tortoise Media.

J K Rowling, the Harry Potter author, spoke about the allegations and slammed the writing community for not speaking about it. “The literary crowd that had a hell of a lot to say about Harvey Weinstein before he was convicted has been strangely muted in its response to multiple accusations against Neil Gaiman,” she wrote on X. The 63-year-old Gaiman, a bestselling author, has denied the allegations.
