Jeff Bridges, Paris Hilton, Mandy Moore and Billy Crystal are among the Hollywood stars to lose their homes to the Los Angeles-area wildfires.
The wildfires broke out Tuesday in the Pacific Palisades area of L.A. and continued to rapidly spread to Eaton on Wednesday. As of Thursday morning, the Palisades and the Eaton fires continued to burn—destroying more than 2,000 homes, forcing more than 130,000 people to evacuate the area.
Among the L.A. residents tragically affected by the wildfires are several celebrities. According to Variety, Bridges, Hilton, Moore and Crystal weren’t the only stars to lose homes to the blazes.

In addition, TMZ reported, Anthony Hopkins lost his house in the wildfires, as did singer-songwriter and rap star Jhené Aiko.
In a statement published in Variety, Crystal said, “Words cannot describe the enormity of the devastation we are witnessing and experiencing. We ache for our friends and neighbors who have also lost their homes and businesses in this tragedy. Janice and I lived in our home since 1979. We raised our children and grandchildren here. Every inch of our house was filled with love. Beautiful memories that can’t be taken away.”

Jamie Lee Curtis Donates $1 Million To Fire Relief Efforts Because Of L.A. Wildfires
One of the celebrities who was forced to flee Los Angeles because of the wildfires is already taking action to get residents back up on their feet. On Thursday, Variety reported, Jamie Lee Curtis donated $1 million to LA fire relief efforts.
In an emotional appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, Curtis said, Where I live is on fire right now. The entire city of Pacific Palisades is burning. I flew here last night, I was on the plane, started getting texts and it’s f—-ing gnarly, you guys. It’s just a catastrophe in Southern California. Everything—the market I shop in, the schools my kids go to. So it’s a really awful situation.”
Curtis told Fallon that many of her friends lost their homes, too.
“Just so I can tell you. If you know anybody on the West Coast or not, [think about] the American Red Cross [and] support them,” Curtis implored. “They will come in and help people. Do anything you can. Anything you can in your community to help people.”

Major Hollywood Events Reschuled In The Midst Of The L.A. Wildfires
Several awards season events have been postponed or rescheduled as firefighters continue to battle the L.A.-area wildfires.
On Wednesday, the Screen Actors Guild postponed its annual live announcement for the SAG Awards because of the wildfires and issued a press release instead.
Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter noted that the Producers Guild of America pushed back its nomination announcement from Friday to Sunday, while the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences moved its live Oscar nominations announcement from Friday, Jan. 17, to Sunday Jan. 19.
Also, per THR, the 2025 Critics Choice Awards—which were set to take place Sunday in Los Angeles—were postponed until Jan. 26.
