Kendrick Lamar ended up as the artist with the most wins at the 2025 Grammy Awards. The rapper won five more trophies, coming out on top in every category he was nominated in. With a handful of new trophies to his credit, the hip-hop superstar moves up on the list of the musicians who have claimed the most gold, and he’s tied some serious industry heavyweights.

“Not Like Us” was awarded five Grammys last night, as all of Lamar’s wins were attached to that biggest of diss tracks. The tune earned Best Music Video, Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance, and, historically, both Record and Song of the Year.

Lamar has now won 22 Grammys throughout his lifetime. As he hits that number, he matches both U2 and Vince Gill for the fifteenth-most prizes in the history of the show.

Beyoncé entered the evening as the musician with the most Grammys, and she left having increased her number. The singer-songwriter won three more trophies, including, finally, the big one: Album of the Year. She is now up to 35 career pieces of hardware.

In between Beyoncé and Lamar—who have collaborated together in the past—the list of artists with the most Grammys looks like this: Sir Georg Solti (31), Quincy Jones and Chick Corea (28 each), Alison Krauss (27), Pierre Boulez and John Williams (26 each), Vladimir Horowitz, Stevie Wonder, David Frost, and Jay-Z (25 each), and Kanye West (24).

Lamar made history when he won both Record and Song of the Year, two of the Big Four categories. “Not Like Us” is just the second hip-hop track to land either honor. He follows behind “This Is America” by Childish Gambino, which was gifted the trophies in 2019.

“Not Like Us” winning was good news for Lamar, but it kept other tracks of his from coming out on top. The superstar beat even himself for two of the five prizes he landed. “Not Like Us” was chosen by voters over “Like That,” Lamar’s collaboration with Metro Boomin and Future, which preceded the diss track. That second cut was also in the running for both Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song.
