Is the PlayStation Network down? When will servers be back online?

The PlayStationNetwork was causing some users fits on Friday night.

Around 6:40 p.m., almost 70,000 users were reporting outages, according to the website DownDetector.com. Around 10 p.m., the numbers was down to just over 15,000.

“We are aware some users might be currently experiencing issues with PSN,” a PlayStation support accound tweeted on X at 8:46 p.m. With a link to its status page on the PlayStation website.

A 7 p.m. alert from PlayStation said: “You might have difficulty signing in or creating an account for PlayStation Network. We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.”
