Inside Timothée Chalamet’s Night at the 2025 Golden Globes

Timothée Chalamet was definitely completely known at the 2025 Golden Globes on Sunday night.

The actor captured people’s attention not only on the red carpet, wearing Haider Ackermann for Tom Ford with Cartier jewels but also inside the ballroom at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Though Chalamet walked the red carpet alone, reported girlfriend Kylie Jenner was later spotted sitting next to the actor inside. But before taking his seat, he was seen chatting up his A Complete Unknown director, James Mangold, with other guests gathered around.

As the show got underway and host Nikki Glaser made her way around the room, poking fun at the stars during her opening monologue, she eventually got to Chalamet.

After joking that Tilda Swinton was nominated for her role as Chalamet, Glaser then exclaimed that the actor himself was the “greatest Timothée Chalamet this year too.” Her joke seemingly referenced the look-alike contest for the actor in New York City last year, which saw Chalamet make a surprise appearance.

The comedian, now looking at the Dune star, continued with her quips, “Can I just say you have the most gorgeous eyelashes on your upper lip. I think this is just such a good look.”

As Chalamet laughed, Glaser proceeded to praise him for his performance as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown. “I actually read that your singing voice was so accurate that even Bob Dylan himself admitted that it was absolutely horrible,” the host joked. She then pointed out that Chalamet is “just so great at playing these beloved eccentrics,” including Dylan and Willy Wonka.

Glaser pondered who the actor could be eyeing to portray next, but she already had an idea: Adam Sandler. “Actually, your name sounds like something Adam Sandler would say,” the host adds, before saying “Timothée Chalamet” in her best Sandler voice.

The camera then cut to the Happy Gilmore 2 actor, who took his turn playfully pronouncing Chalamet’s name.

Chalamet was nominated for best actor in a motion picture – drama at Sunday’s ceremony for his role in A Complete Unknown. However, the award ultimately went to Adrien Brody (The Brutalist).

The biopic, directed by Mangold, saw Chalamet transform into music legend Bob Dylan. The film follows the 19-year-old then-unknown musician as he arrives in New York City in 1961 with his guitar and forges relationships with music icons on his meteoric rise, culminating in a groundbreaking performance that reverberates worldwide.

The other nominees in the category who lost out were Daniel Craig (Queer), Colman Domingo (Sing Sing), Ralph Fiennes (Conclave) and Sebastian Stan (The Apprentice).
