ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) – A First Alert Weather Day has ended.
However, wind advisories are still in effect for much of South Georgia, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
The following counties are under a wind advisory until 1 p.m. on Sunday:
- Baker County
- Ben Hill County
- Berrien County
- Brooks County
- Calhoun County
- Colquitt County
- Cook County
- Decatur County
- Dougherty County
- Early County
- Grady County
- Irwin County
- Lanier County
- Lee County
- Lowndes County
- Miller County
- Mitchell County
- Quitman County
- Randolph County
- Seminole County
- Terrell County
- Thomas County
- Tift County
- Turner County
- Worth County
The following counties are under a wind advisory until 6 p.m. on Sunday:
- Atkinson County
- Clinch County
- Coffee County
- Echols County
Mitchell EMC reported nine active outages impacting 265 members. Miller County is seeing the most outages with 32 or 41 meters being impacted.
Georgia Power has reported power outages in two South Georgia counties:
- In Brooks County, 23 customers are being impacted by one outage.
- In Colquitt County, nine customers are being impacted by four outages.
- In Dooly County, 330 customers are being impacted by nine outages.
- In Lee County, 448 customers are being impacted by two outages.
- In Lowndes County, 78 customers are being impacted by four outages.
- In Mitchell County, 573 customers are being impacted by two outages.
- In Quitman, 170 customers are being impacted by one outage.
- In Randolph County, 17 customers are being impacted by one outage.
- In Stewart County, 32 customers are being impacted by one outage.
- In Sumter County, 189 customers are being impacted by 18 outages.
- In Terrell County, 24 customers are being impacted by four outages.
- In Wilcox County, 25 customers are being impacted by two outages.
