BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – As of 4 a.m. Wednesday, the “new bridge” over the Mississippi River from Baton Rouge to Port Allen was still closed in both directions. However, the “old bridge,” along Highway 190 was open.

The Sunshine Bridge, crossing the river in St. James Parish, was also open, Louisiana State Police said.

The John James Audubon Bridge, crossing between Pointe Coupee and West Feliciana parishes remains closed, Louisiana State Police said.
