Dallas police investigate incident near convention center, no active shooter reported

DALLAS — Dallas Police are investigating an incident near the Omni Hotel and Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, according to a post on X.com. Authorities have advised the public to avoid the area.

In a subsequent post on X.com, police confirmed, “We can confirm that there was no active shooter at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.” Further information will be provided as it becomes available.

A family reunification center has been set up at Dallas Police Headquarters, located at 1400 Botham Jean Blvd. The Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center is currently hosting the NCA All-Star National Championship this weekend.
