DENVER – The No. 4 seed Texas A&M men’s basketball team (23-10) faces the No. 5 seed Michigan Wolverines (26-9) in the second round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament at 4:15 p.m. CT / 3:15 p.m. MT on Saturday inside Denver’s Ball Arena.
- The Aggies and Wolverines have met just twice previously, dating back to the first meeting — an 82-79 Michigan win at the University of Houston’s Houston Classic in the Sam Houston Coliseum on Dec. 22, 1962.
- In the most recent meeting, the No. 3 seed Wolverines delivered a 99-72 rout of the No. 7 seed Aggies in the Sweet 16 of the 2018 NCAA Tournament at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
- With the 80-71 win over Yale on Thursday, Texas A&M has now posted at least one victory in back-to-back NCAA Tournaments for the first time since the Aggies did it four straight years from 2006-10.
- 2025 marks the third-consecutive NCAA Tournament berth for the Aggies, which hadn’t been accomplished by the program since making six straight trips more than a decade ago from 2006-11.
- The No. 4 seeding by the Aggies was the third-highest in program history behind a pair of No. 3 seeds in 2007 and 2016.
