SAN FRANCISCO — Many gamers coming home from work or school this Friday evening were met with issues when trying to access online features on their PlayStations.
While the company hasn’t commented on the issue, nearly 70,000 people took to reporting the outage on Downdetector around 6 p.m. ET.
Users are having trouble accessing their online friends list, account management tabs, the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Direct and even gaming, according to Sony’s PlayStation Network page.
The page says the outage began around 7 p.m. ET and they’re “working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.”

Anyone running PlayStation Network on PS Vita, PS3, PS4, PS5 or the web will still encounter the issues.
Those on console may see an error code reading “PlayStation Network is currently undergoing maintenance (WS-37432-9)” pop up on their screen. Users only have the option to dismiss the message or search PlayStation’s website for support.
