The Golden State Warriors have “100 percent” discussed moving off franchise legend Draymond Green internally, per Sam Amick of The Athletic.
Appearing on FanDuel TV’s Run It Back on Wednesday, Amick said the Warriors have “internally” discussed the possibility of moving Green.

Amick, however, did clarify that he didn’t think the Warriors would make the move.
“I don’t even know if we’re going to talk Warriors today, but for me, they come to mind too, right?
“Because, like, they’re in the middle of this desperate time where they’re trying to get another star, and as of yesterday, we’re looking at it and going, ‘Oh boy, they might actually get off Draymond.’
“Or do something like that where the loyalty questions come into play with a situation like that, too.
“I don’t think that’s gonna happen, but it’s 100 percent been discussed internally and that speaks to what you’re talking about.”
This latest report comes amid buzz that the Warriors are looking to potentially bring Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant back to the team, according to Sports Illustrated‘s Chris Mannix:

The Warriors are indeed serious about reuniting with Kevin Durant, sources told SI. And with efforts to acquire Jimmy Butler stalled rival execs believe the Suns are strongly considering Durant deals before the deadline.
The 34-year-old Green, a four-time All-Star, has played in Golden State for his entire 13-year NBA career, winning four NBA titles and making eight NBA All-Defensive Teams.
Amick, David Aldridge and Anthony Slater of The Athletic reported on the Warriors’ pursuit of Durant and mentioned the possibility of Green going the other way to Phoenix.
“In exploratory conversations, the Warriors have only been met with an exorbitant asking price in theoretical structures β essentially everything of future value β considering the tricky spot the Suns seem to find themselves,” The Athletic trio wrote.
“League sources say four-time All-Star forward Draymond Green, who has an established relationship with fellow Michigan State alum and Suns owner Mat Ishbia, is among the Warriors players Phoenix is known to covet.”
So there’s obviously been some smoke here. And regarding Durant, Amick thought a move could even happen on Tuesday evening.

It didn’t, but there’s still time for it to happen with the trade deadline not until Thursday at 3 p.m. ET.
Ultimately, this trade deadline has shaken the NBA with Luka DonΔiΔ heading to the Los Angeles Lakers, Anthony Davis going to the Dallas Mavericks, De’Aaron Fox being sent to the San Antonio Spurs and Zach Lavine finding himself on the Sacramento Kings, among other moves.
The chaos may not be over just yet, though. Green appears likely to stay put in Golden State, but that’s not a given either. Durant could very well find himself on his way out of Phoenix, though, as the clock ticks toward 3 p.m. Thursday.
