While Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce looks to make history with a Super Bowl three-peat, his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, looked to break new records at the 67th annual Grammy Awards.
During last year’s ceremony, Swift surprised fans by announcing a new album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” which features several songs inspired by her relationship with Kelce. The pop star’s 11th studio album made history with 17 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard music chart and broke multiple streaming records.
Swift racked up six nominations at this year’s Grammys: Album of the Year (“The Tortured Poets Department”); Record of the Year (“Fortnight”); Song of the Year (“Fortnight”); Best Pop Vocal Album (“The Tortured Poets Department”); Best Music Video (“Fortnight”); and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her feature on Gracie Abrams’ song “Us.”
However, the 35-year-old pop star went home empty-handed.

The 14-time Grammy winner, who made history last year by becoming the only artist to ever win Album of the Year four times, appeared completely unfazed by the losses. She danced and cheered for every performer that took the stage.
After the Grammys handed out the final award of the evening — Beyoncé won Album of the Year for “Cowboy Carter” — Taylor Nation, Swift’s PR and management company, sent out a message to fans.
They posted, “We’d like to thank the entire Department for tuning in tonight to support Taylor and all the incredible artists at the #GRAMMYs! No [expletive] body loved #TSTTPD more than you, and we couldn’t be prouder of what this album has accomplished. Until our next board meeting.”
Swift gave a standing ovation to each artist who beat her out for an award. Record of the Year and Song of the Year went to Kendrick Lamar for “Not Like Us,” while Best Pop Vocal Album went to Sabrina Carpenter. Best Pop Duo/Group Performance went to Lady Gaga featuring Bruno Mars.
Next up for Swift, she’s heading to New Orleans to cheer on the Chiefs as they take on the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl on Feb. 9.
