🔬 UEL: Who went through, who’s out, in the play-offs & when is the draw?

The eighth and final matchday of the newly-formatted Europa League took place tonight, and it more than delivered.

All 36 teams were in action at the exact same time, deciding who is definitely in the knockout stages, who’s still in with a chance, and who is definitely out.

Despite losing away to Braga, Lazio topped the table, ahead of Athletic Club on goal difference. Manchester United and Tottenham’s wins sees them secure third and fourth spots respectively.

The rest of the top eight is made up by Eintracht Frankfurt, Lyon, Olympiacos and Rangers.

The following sides will duke it out for a spot in the last 16 after finishing between 9th and 24th position in the table.

Seeded (9-16): Bodø/Glimt, Anderlecht, FCSB, Ajax, Real Sociedad, Galatasaray, Roma, Viktoria Plzen

Unseeded (17-24): Ferencváros, Porto, AZ, Midtjylland, Union Saint-Gilloise, PAOK, Twente, Fenerbahçe

The following 12 sides’ European campaigns are over:

Braga, Elfsborg, Hoffenheim, BeÅŸiktaÅŸ, Maccabi Tel Aviev, Slavia Prague, Malmo, RFS, Ludogrets, Dynamo Kiev, Nice, QarabaÄŸ

The draw for the knockout phase play-off takes place at 13:00 CET on Friday 31 January.

The play-offs will take place on February 13 (first leg) and February 20 (second leg).
