FireAid benefit concert uses star-studded lineup to help LA: How to watch

Weeks after devastating fires incinerated large swaths of land in Los Angeles and left hundreds displaced, some of music’s biggest names are stepping in to help.

The FireAid benefit concerts − a pair of side-by-side events slated for Thursday – will bring together pop stars, rock legends and grunge bands alike with the shared goal of money raised to help rebuild a tragedy-stricken city. Following in the footsteps of star-studded benefit concerts like FarmAid, LiveAid and One Love Manchester, the back-to-back shows are expected to punctuate a difficult month for the city with a glimmer of hope.

Contributions made to FireAid at fireaidla.org will be distributed under the advisement of the Annenberg Foundation for both short-term relief efforts and long-term initiatives to prevent future fire disasters. All proceeds will go directly to the event’s designated beneficiaries.

The event’s high price tag will be paid for in full by the LA Clippers. The Clippers’ home arena, the Intuit Dome will, host one of the concerts, while the other will take place at the Kia Forum.
