Weather Alert for Saturday and Saturday Night
We will be watching the potential for severe storms through the day Saturday and continuing into the predawn hours of Sunday.
TIMING: We will be watching first of all for an early Saturday Morning chance for showers and storms (5am-12pm) which will be the remains of a potential line of storms from our west overnight Friday Night. The next time frame to watch is from midday and into the afternoon for the potential of any severe storms developing well in advance of the main system arriving Saturday Evening. If no storms develop during the afternoon, then the main event arrives during the evening and overnight in advance of a cold front. All modes of severe storms are possible (Damaging wind, tornadoes & large hail)
A level 1 & 2 out of 5 risk for severe weather has been outlined for the central and western portions of our viewing area mainly for early Saturday Morning.
A level 3 and 4 out of 5 risk for severe weather has been outlined for the entire viewing area Saturday & Saturday night.
We will stay alert for early Sunday Morning as storms slowly exit. Breezy the rest of Sunday with a few return showers during the afternoon. Highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s but cooling late day.

Hamilton County’s Office of Emergency Management is urging residents to prepare for this potentially dangerous severe weather outbreak by making a plan right now.
“We’ve really put a big emphasis on making sure that people are really taking the time to plan ahead. I mean, everybody is worried about their house or whatever. Well, that’s why we have insurance,” HCOEM spokeswoman Amy Maxwell says.
They say to first create an emergency kit, with items like a flashlight, extra batteries, and a portable charger.
It’s also good to have a weather radio so you can stay informed regardless of weather conditions, and a first aid kit.
Emergency supplies like 1 gallon of water per person and non perishable foods are also good to have on hand.
According HCOEM officials, the most important thing you can do is have a plan.
“Do you have a building plan, or a home plan? What does that mean? Do you have a safe place to go in the event of any kind of severe weather, like a tornado,” Maxwell says.
If you’re worried about connectivity issues over the weekend, EPB officials say that crews and contractors are at the ready to respond if infrastructure damages occur, with more on standby.
