The Michigan Wolverines return to the hardwood as they take on Purdue, which knocked off USC, 76-71, on Thursday night, in their Big Ten tournament opener in Indianapolis.
Both teams own a victory over each other from the regular season. While Purdue dominated Michigan in the first matchup in West Lafayette in January, the Wolverines pulled out a two-point victory in February’s rematch.
The Boilermakers could cause some problems for the Wolverines, who struggled taking care of the ball this season. In conference play, Michigan led the Big Ten in turnovers, averaging nearly 14 per game. Purdue was the conference leaders in multiple categories including steals and field goal and 3-point shooting percentages.
