The 2025 Big Ten Tournament is down to four.
The men’s conference tournament continues Saturday with semifinal games at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Each of the four teams project to be safely in the 2025 NCAA Tournament field.
Michigan State, which won the Big Ten regular-season title, will face off against No. 5 seed Wisconsin in Saturday’s first game after beating No. 8 seed Oregon 74-64 behind 17 points from freshman Jase Richardson. Coach Tom Izzo and the Spartans are seeking their conference-leading seventh Big Ten Tournament championship and their first title since 2019. Wisconsin, seeking its fourth tournament title and first since 2015, blew past No. 4 seed UCLA 86-70 on Friday, with guard John Tonje leading the way with 26 points. Tonje was 6 of 6 on 3-pointers.

Saturday’s other semifinal pits No. 2 seed Maryland against No. 3 seed Michigan. Maryland defeated No. 7 seed Illinois 88-65 on Friday, and Michigan beat No. 6 Purdue 86-68. Maryland guard Rodney Rice had 26 points against the Illini on 8 of 12 shooting. Danny Wolf led Michigan with 18 points on 7 of 10 shooting against the Boilermakers.

The winners of Saturday’s games advance to Sunday’s Big Ten championship game (3:30 p.m. ET, CBS), immediately preceding the NCAA Tournament selection show.
