Manchester United’s players are celebrating making it through into the Europa League quarter-finals.
Ruben Amorim’s chances of winning silverware with Manchester United this season is still alive, after making it past Real Sociedad in the last 16.
United have set up a quarter-final with Lyon after an impressive performance to beat Real Sociedad at Old Trafford, controlling the second half.
The Red Devils won the game 4-1, with Bruno Fernandes scoring a hat-trick including two penalties, and one goal from Diogo Dalot, having trailed 1-0.

The best goal of the night was a classic Manchester United counter-attack, that was incisively finished by Bruno Fernandes.
The strike was United and Fernandes’ third, and came after a strong combination with Alejandro Garnacho.
Garnacho broke at goal and cut inside, before laying the ball perfectly into the overlapping path of Bruno Fernandes, who struck the ball powerfully across the goalkeeper into the bottom corner.
Fernandes shared a picture on social media after the game with Bruno Fernandes, who had claimed the match-ball, already signed by his Manchester United teammates.
This was the second hat-trick of Fernandes’ United career, his first since 2021.
And such was Fernandes’ humility, that he found time to thank Garnacho for his help for his third goal of the night.
He wrote: “What an assist,” praising the Argentine teenager who has found goals of his own to be hard to come by in recent months.

Alejandro Garnacho started the season on fire in front of goal, but has been unable to add to his tally since late November.
His last strike came against Bodo/Glimt at the end of November, his second game under Ruben Amorim, and none since. He remains stuck on nine goals for the season, only bettered by Fernandes with 15.
Garnacho’s role has changed under Amorim, and while the goals have not been flowing, there has been a trickle of assists.
Over his last 10 games, Garnacho has three assists. He has eight for the season in total, with four under Amorim.
He will hope to get back on track in front of goal when United face Leicester City at the weekend.
