Watch: Oscars 2025 Best Dressed: Cynthia Erivo, Zoë Saldaña & More Red Carpet Looks
Goldie Hawn is making a date night out of the 2025 Oscars.
The actress made a rare appearance alongside longtime partner Kurt Russell on the red carpet for the 97th Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles March 2, where she’s set to present one of the night’s coveted statuettes.
Goldie, who won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 1970 for her role in Cactus Flower, lived up to her name in a gold floor-length gown and matching necklace. She wrapped herself in a dramatic gold shawl to complete the ensemble. (See every star who walked the red carpet here.)
As for Kurt, the Hateful Eight actor paired a suave black tuxedo and bowtie with his signature spectacles as he accompanied his partner of over 40 years to the ceremony.
While Goldie, 79, and Kurt, 73, are known for having one of the longest romances in Hollywood, the First Wives Club star—who shares son Wyatt Russell with Kurt as well as kids Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson with ex Bill Hudson—previously admitted the key to a lasting relationship isn’t very complicated.
“You have to have good sex,” she bluntly told E! News in September. “Because sex is something that connects you and creates more belonging. People who have healthy sexual relationships usually last a lot longer. But it’s not just because of the act, it’s because of the warmth and the intimacy that it creates.”
But that’s not all it takes, as Goldie added, “You have to be nice to each other upon occasion.”
All joking aside, the actress went on to point out that even the most successful partnerships have their ups and downs.
“You don’t think the same way oftentimes,” she went on. “And you have to accept that, but you have to measure are we having fun, or is this something we want to do? Do we have laughs together? Do we share certain things? You don’t have to share everything.”
